For three days in February 2009 Adam Hyde and the members of the FLOSSmanuals.net collective convened at Eyebeam in NYC to translate xtine burrough and Michael Mandiberg’s new CC-licensed textbook Digital Foundations from the Adobe Creative Suite to open-source software, including Inkscape, Gimp, Scribus, Kompozer, and Processing. It was a wild weekend and remains unbelievable to me how a book that took us over a year to write was translated in less than half a month. Thanks to Michael for sharing this photo.
